What are St Andrew’s fashion show models wearing?
Words by Isobel Preece, Writer
On a phone call with my sister, I mentioned my idea of recreating a The Unknown Vlogs style interview in St Andrews, to which she burst out laughing. When I asked why she’d laughed I was met with a blunt response: “because no one in St Andrews would actually have style.” In order to capture the eccentric style of this town-and as a means to prove her wrong-I interviewed our most fashionable peers in town.

The bright green NASCAR jacket. For some of the runway looks we went to charity shops to make our own outfits, so I wore it for the CATWALK charity fashion show.

I have on a Chanel headscarf in babushka style, got on a vintage leather jacket picked from Camden, and a turquoise knitted cardigan and top from Reserved London. These jeans are from Vinted with a raw hem stitch, and I’ve got on the 032c x adidas trainers from END clothing. And finally a pearl necklace from Camden.
What’s your favourite piece you’re wearing right now?
I’d have to say the Chanel headscarf, my girlfriend actually picked it from a vintage store in Norwich, Norfolk. The babushka style was inspired by one of my favourite YouTubers called Poets Corner. I saw him so one, so I’ve been collecting headscarves to replicate that look.
